| I leave Intercultural Arts at the end of May to pursue some ideas I've nurtured for a while that were not appropriate for IcA.
I have enjoyed my time as Director of IcA and proud of what we have achieved. The organisation is in the dynamic hands of Steven Walker who has been responsible for the massive improvements in the organisation's online information and networking services. ----- I came to Newcastle in 2003 to work for ONE NorthEast and worked for Intercultural Arts until May 2011. I still consider myself a director and hope to return to that discipline, (along with one or two other enterprises) in the immediate future... Or stack shelves in Tescos (less written reports lol). Ahem... I studied Drama and English Lit at The University of East Anglia, trained as a director at Bristol Old Vic Theatre school, ran the youth arts project at the Albany Empire in Deptford; SE London, was CEO of the Actors Centre in London, Administrator for Talawa Theatre Company, Artistic Director of the Bird's Nest (pub) theatre in Deptford and have run two nightclubs and the London Lesbian and Gay Centre! - I like to keep busy! |
