MeetMarket 2011 at Sheffield Doc/Fest now open for submissions

The call for applications for the 2011 MeetMarket at Sheffield Doc/Fest is now open. Submissions are invited from documentary and multiplatform producers. MeetMarket offers the selected producers the opportunity to pitch projects to over 170 decision-makers, buyers, funders and mentors.
2010 MeetMarket saw 65 selected projects and producers meet with 175 decision-makers in over 1,000 one-to-one meetings. Over £14m worth of deals were negotiated. Decision-makers included BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Five, ARTE France, ARTE ZDF, Irish Film Board, TG4, the Sundance Institute and many more. Projects can fall within any factual genre, from factual entertainment to art and installation documentaries. Projects can also be at any stage, from early development through to post-production.
MeetMarket takes place at Sheffield Doc/Fest which, in 2011, takes place for the first time in June.
The application process requires the submission of a synopsis, one-minute teaser, headline budget figures and biographical information on participants.
