Equality & Diversity North East

2 Jul 2010

Equality & Diversity North EastAs a result of recent legislative changes coupled with more and more press stories covering E&D issues, The Journal believe that there is lots and lots of good work going on across the region in this field, but what is lacking is any co-ordination to really raise awareness and magnify the message.

Subsequently we teamed up with Equality North East, and between us have come up with a plan to launch a year long campaign in The Journal.

At the core of our plan is a quarterly magazine inserted into The Journal ( 1st edition out 28th July) and then from Wednesday 4th August we will dedicate an editorial page every fortnight to E&D issues/stories from across the region.

We are looking to find a number of "partners" who will help shape our campaign, by having editorial input into the direction the magazine takes, and can support our fortnightly pages with news/columns/stories from their own businesses.

Our partners will meet each quarter and discuss the most up-to-date E&D issues, share good practice and this will be used as content in the magazine.

Our partners will be recognised as "leading from the front" on E&D issues.

And we're delighted to advise you that The Journal are to to be official media sponsor of the forthcoming Equality North East Awards at the Gosforth Park Marriott Hotel on Fri 22nd October 2010.

To be a partner in our campaign, the annual cost is £8,000.

This will be charged quarterly at £2,000 for 2 pages in each magazine.

These pages can be editorial and/or advertising for your organisation, and we are happy to support you by offering the assistance of a journalist to come into your business, be briefed on the message you'd like to convey, and write up the copy for you, which won't be published until you've signed it off.

Furthermore you have the opportunity for coverage every fortnight on our E&D page in the Journal - you supply us with a relevant column / story etc etc and we will publish it.

All partners logo's will also appear on the page, showing their overall commitment to the campaign.

We're very excited about our campaign, and hope that you will want to join us.

How you are achieving your e&d objectives would certainly make interesting copy for our readers and demonstrate your commitment to them.

Furthermore by joining us, we can magnify your e&d successes to our 110,000* daily readers.

We will also be carrying content online through a new e&d channel accessed via Journallive.co.uk, which has 232,270** unique users.

If you would like to discuss this opportunity further, phone Phil Jackson on 0191 201 6033 or click here to email him.
